Citrate Ester is colorless or light yellow liquid, can be mixed with acetone, CCl4, mineral oil, acetic acid, castor oil, alcohol and its solvents; insoluble in water, non-toxic, tasteless, small volatility, heat-resistant, light-resistant, water-resistant, and vinyl resins, cellulose acetate, cellulose acetyl butyrate, cellulose ethyl cellulose, benzyl cellulose and other compatibilizers, plasticizing performance is better for the plasticizers; but also anti-bacterial and does not breed bacteria, non-irritating, flame-retardant and degradable. Plasticizer for PVC, chlorinated alkene copolymer, cellulose resin. Good compatibility, high plasticizing efficiency; excellent cold resistance, light resistance, water resistance; low volatility, slightly toxic, mold resistance. The traditional way of citrate production is to put citric acid, alcohol and catalyst into kettle reactor, stirring and heating to carry out esterification reaction, and then neutralization and washing to separate the catalyst after the completion of the esterification reaction, followed by distillation, decolorization and filtration to get the purity of citrate of 99.5% or more.
